Manual Lymphatic Drainage offered by: Drummond Robertson

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a massage technique that was developed in Europe for the treatment of lymphedema. It is a condition that develops when the lymph nodes are affected and fluid can become trapped below the skin, most commonly in the limbs. This condition most commonly arises following radiation treatment or surgery that affects the lymph nodes. However, babies can be born with it and it can develop later in life as the lymph nodes are unable to handle the lymph fluid in the body.
